SERMON CENTRAL

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men - men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall."
E.G.W.

"Keep your wants,
your joys,
your sorrows,
your cares,
and your fears before God.
You cannot burden Him;
you cannot weary Him.

He who numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children.

The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. James 5:11.

His heart of love is touched by our sorrows and even by our utterances of them.

*Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind.
*Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe.
*Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice.
*There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. .... no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest.
......He knows the sorrows that we feel to the depths of our being, but which we cannot express.
"
Steps To Christ p.69,70 E.G.W.

"
You know the truth,
you believe the truth,
you even love the truth.
But the truth hasn't changed you.
Let the truth change you."
E.G.W.

"The love of God still yearns over the one who has chosen to separate from Him, and He sets in operation influences to bring him back to the Father's house.
--Have you, reader, chosen your own way?
--Have you wandered far from God?
--Have you sought to feast upon the fruits of transgression, only to find them turn to ashes upon your lips?
*Now that voice which has long been speaking to your heart but to which you would not listen comes to you distinct and clear, Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest; because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. Micah 2:10. Return to your Father's house. He invites you, saying, Return unto Me; for I have redeemed thee. Isa. 44:22."
E.G.W.

"How careful should we be in every word and act to follow closely the Pattern, that our example may lead men to Christ.
*With what care should we seek so to present the truth that others by beholding its beauty and simplicity may be led to receive it.
*If our characters testify of its sanctifying power, we shall be a continual light to others—living epistles, known and read of all men."
E.G.W.

"His own nation rejected Him;
His own religion crucified Him;
and thus He presented Himself,
the willing victim of our sins,
to be rent in soul,
mangled in flesh,
broken in heart,
that He might show us the Father,
and lead us back to our Father's house
."
